Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 24/06/25

1. Our Commitment

Cloud Lighthouse Ltd is committed to making the Centre for Trustworthy AI web estate usable by everyone, regardless of technology or ability. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

2. Conformance Status

As of the last updated date, centerfortrustworthyai.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partial conformance means some content does not fully meet the standard despite best efforts.

3. Measures to Support Accessibility

  • Accessibility embedded in design system and code reviews

  • Automated linting (axe-core) in CI-pipeline

  • Manual screen-reader and keyboard testing on major releases

  • Monthly audits against WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria

  • Staff training on inclusive design and plain-language writing

4. Compatibility with Assistive Technology

The site is designed to work with:

  • NVDA and JAWS on Windows 10+

  • VoiceOver on macOS/iOS (Safari & Chrome)

  • TalkBack on Android (Chrome)

Full keyboard navigation and ARIA landmarks are implemented in all new templates.

5. Technical Specifications

Accessibility relies on:

  • HTML5, ARIA 1.2, CSS3, JavaScript ES6

  • SVG icon fonts (line-icons, 2 px stroke)

  • Progressive enhancement to ensure core content remains usable if scripts fail

6. Assessment Approach

We regularly test the accessibility of this website using a variety of methods:

  • Automated scans using tools like axe-core and Lighthouse are run on every pull request.

  • Manual keyboard-only testing is performed monthly to ensure full navigability without a mouse.

  • Screen-reader testing (with NVDA and VoiceOver) is carried out quarterly to validate assistive technology compatibility.

  • External audits are conducted annually by certified accessibility partners to identify and fix any issues that automated or internal reviews might miss.

7. Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, we are aware of the following current limitations:

  • Legacy PDFs, such as the v1 white-paper, may not be fully tagged for screen readers.
Workaround: An accessible HTML version is available upon request.
    Target fix: Q4 2025.

  • User-generated forum content, particularly images, may occasionally lack alt-text.
Workaround: Moderators will add descriptive alt-text when notified.
Status: This is an ongoing effort.
